“Our trip ventures take us to some of Indonesia’s less-visited locations, where the accommodations may be more rudimentary.” Especially when we stay in a local hotel or go camping for one night and have to use squat toilets and bucket showers. We recommend taking earplugs if you sleep lightly, motorcycling light clothes and boots, swimwear, bug repellant, a lamp for camping, walking shoes, and a lightweight waterproof jacket or poncho.
While we usually carry a first-aid package, we also urge those individual travelers bring their own in case of diarrhea treatment, painkillers, rehydration sachets, plasters, and a blister treatment kit – just in case.”
